Female Summer Camp Counselors

Position: Summer Cabin Counselor & Skills Instructor
Location: Mt. Gilead Camp, Pocono Mountains, PA
Duration: Summer Season (June – August)

The Mission
At Mt. Gilead, we believe in impacting young lives "one girl at a time." As a counselor, you aren’t just a supervisor; you are a mentor, a spiritual leader, and a creator of lifelong memories. You will serve as a role model for girls ages 6–16, helping them discover their identity in Christ through high-energy outdoor adventure and quiet moments of fellowship in the beauty of the Poconos.

Your Role: Mentor, Teacher, and Guide
You will lead a cabin of girls, fostering a supportive community while facilitating "relaxed fun" through our core activity tracks. We are looking for counselors to teach and lead in the following areas:

Target Sports: Instructing safe and focused sessions in Archery and Riflery.

Aquatics: Supervising Swimming at our pool or leading Canoeing excursions on the water.

Adventure & Wilderness: Guiding girls through the High Ropes course, leading Hiking treks through our 175-acre wooded property, or heading out on overnight Camping trips.

Specialized Skills: Assisting with our Horsemanship program or leading creative workshops like Drama and Crafts.

Qualifications
Faith-Driven: A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to share His love with the next generation.

Education: Must be a Female High School Graduate (completing senior year by this Spring) or a current College Student/Graduate.

Character: Energetic, patient, and adventurous. We need leaders who aren't afraid to sing "off-the-wall" silly songs, get a little dirty in the woods, and offer a listening ear to a homesick camper.
