Dates: Full-time Summer | June 13 – August 3
Location: Mt. Gilead Camp, Pocono Mountains, PA
The Architect of Adventure
Ever wonder how 100+ campers and staff move seamlessly from Archery to the Pool, then to the Stables, and finally to a Campfire without missing a beat? That’s the work of the Activities Coordinator.
As a vital member of the Camp Leadership Team, you are the logistical heartbeat of Mt. Gilead. You are the one who turns a list of activities into a masterpiece of a schedule, ensuring that every girl gets the most out of her summer experience while providing our counselors with the structure they need to succeed.
Your Role & Responsibilities
Master Scheduling: Designing and managing the daily rotations for all campers and staff. You’ll balance high-energy activities with the "relaxed fellowship" that defines our culture.
Counselor Oversight: Coordinating staff assignments, ensuring every activity station (from High Ropes to Crafts) is properly manned and supported.
On-the-Fly Problem Solving: Managing the "weather pivots"—when it rains in the Poconos, you’re the hero who seamlessly transitions the camp into indoor fun or creative alternatives.
Leadership Collaboration: Working directly with the Executive and Divisional Directors to evaluate the flow of camp and implement improvements in real-time.
Communication Hub: Serving as the "go-to" person for staff questions regarding timing, locations, and special events.
Why This Position?
High-Level Leadership: This is a resume-defining role. You will gain massive experience in Operations Management, Logistics, and Personnel Coordination.
Professional Growth: Perfect for Education, Business, or Communications majors looking for real-world experience in managing a large, moving organization.
Ministry Impact: By managing the "chaos," you create the quiet spaces where campers can hear from God. Your organization is the foundation of their spiritual growth.
Competitive Compensation: This is a senior-level summer position offering a competitive salary, housing, and meals.
Qualifications
Experience: Open to Female College Students who have completed at least their freshman year (or older).
Skills: You are "a person with a plan." You love spreadsheets, color-coded calendars, and staying on your feet. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and remain calm under pressure.
Heart for Camp: You understand that a well-run schedule is an act of service to the counselors and campers alike.
Are You the One to Lead the Way?
If you love logistics and have a heart for ministry, we need your brain and your energy on our Leadership Team.

Dates: Full-time Summer | June 13 – August 3
Location: Mt. Gilead Camp, Pocono Mountains, PA
The Ministry of Wellness & Care
At Mt. Gilead, we believe that physical well-being is the foundation for spiritual growth. When a camper feels safe, healthy, and cared for, she is free to experience the joy of Christ and the wonder of the Poconos. We are seeking compassionate, skilled medical professionals to serve as our Summer Camp Nurses—the primary providers of "TLC" and medical oversight for our community.
Your Impact: More Than Just First Aid
As the Camp Nurse, you are a trusted figure for both campers and staff. Your role is a blend of professional medical management and maternal-style encouragement.
Clinic Management: Overseeing the daily "Health Hut" operations, including medication administration, treating minor injuries (scrapes, stings, and bumps), and managing illness protocols.
Strategic Oversight: Reviewing camper health forms and partnering with the Kitchen Staff to manage allergies and dietary restrictions.
A Comforting Presence: Providing a listening ear and a band-aid to a homesick 8-year-old or a tired counselor. You are the "Camp Mom" who keeps the spirit of the camp healthy.
Safety Advocacy: Serving as a consultant for the Leadership Team on camp-wide health, hygiene, and safety practices.
Why Serve Your Summer at Mt. Gilead?
A Unique Practice Environment: Trade the sterile hospital hallways for 175 acres of woods and fresh air. You’ll practice nursing in a high-energy, joyful setting.
Spiritual Renewal: Immerse yourself in a Christian community. Whether you are currently practicing or a retired nurse looking for a meaningful way to use your skills, you will find deep purpose here.
Flexible Engagement: While we are looking for full-time summer coverage, we are open to discussing split-summer or weekly commitments for the right candidates.
Compensation & Comfort: Competitive salary provided, along with private or semi-private housing and all meals included.
Qualifications
Credentials: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current license.
Heart for Ministry: A passion for youth ministry and a desire to see girls grow in their faith and confidence.
Temperament: Calm under pressure, approachable, and possessing a good sense of humor (essential for camp life!).
Ready to Heal and Hearten?
If you have the skills to care for bodies and a heart to care for souls, we would be honored to have you on our medical team.

Dates: Full-time Summer | June 13 – August 3 (Potential for Part-time Year-Round)
Location: Mt. Gilead Camp, Pocono Mountains, PA
Capture the Magic. Tell the Story.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but at Mt. Gilead, a picture is a window into a life changed by Christ. We are looking for a talented Female Photographer and Videographer to be our eyes and ears on the ground.
Your mission is to capture the "unfiltered joy" of camp—from the concentration on a girl's face at the archery range to the quiet moments of prayer by the lake. You aren't just taking photos; you are documenting the legacy of a 60-year ministry.
Your Creative Role
Daily Documentation: Roaming our 175-acre campus to capture high-quality action shots of activities (horses, ropes, swimming) and candid moments of fellowship.
Content Creation: Producing weekly "highlight reels" and social media content that keeps parents connected and excited about their daughter's experience.
Storytelling: Identifying and capturing the "heart" of camp—the laughter, the traditions, and the spiritual growth that happens "one girl at a time."
Archiving for the Future: Organizing and maintaining our digital library for year-round marketing and promotional materials.
Year-Round Potential: Exceptional candidates may be invited to continue as our Part-Time Media Specialist during the retreat season (August–June).
Why Join Our Creative Team?
Build a Professional Portfolio: You will leave the summer with thousands of high-action, lifestyle, and nature shots to bolster your professional work.
Technical Independence: While you report to the Leadership Team, you have the creative freedom to find the best angles and tell the camp’s story through your unique lens.
Ministry Impact: Your photos are often the way a parent sees their child’s confidence growing for the first time. Your work provides lasting "ebenezers" (reminders) of what God did at camp.
Competitive Compensation: Includes a summer salary, housing, and meals.
Requirements & Qualifications
Technical Skill: Proficient in DSLR/Mirrorless photography and video editing software.
Endurance: You must be comfortable being on your feet, hiking trails, and working in the summer elements to "get the shot."
Spiritual Alignment: A desire to use your artistic gifts to serve a Christian ministry and mentor young women.
Portfolio Required: We want to see your eye for detail! Please include a link to your online portfolio or social media work in the application. > ⚠️ Note to Applicants: To ensure the highest quality for our families, we cannot process applications without a link to your work. Please double-check that your link is active before submitting!

The Heart of the Ministry
At Mt. Gilead, our horses aren't just animals—they are partners in ministry. We believe the bond between a girl and a horse provides a unique window into understanding God’s love, patience, and leadership. We are seeking dedicated equestrians who love both "the stable and the student" to join our summer horsemanship team.
Your Role & Responsibilities
This is a hands-on role that balances rigorous barn management with high-impact teaching. Your daily "to-do" list will include:
Instruction & Safety: Leading daily arena lessons and trail rides for girls ages 6–16, ensuring a safe, encouraging environment for all skill levels.
Equine Care & Husbandry: Overseeing the daily health and wellness of our herd, including feeding, grooming, tacking, and basic first aid.
Barn Management: Maintaining a clean, organized stable and tack room—teaching campers the "work" of horsemanship as much as the "ride."
Spiritual Mentorship: Using time on the trails or in the barn to facilitate deep conversations, devotions, and reflections on faith and character.
Program Development: Assisting in the planning of "Horse Shows" or special awards ceremonies to celebrate camper progress.
Why Join the Mt. Gilead Barn Staff?
Professional Growth: Gain significant experience in herd management and outdoor education within a structured, professional equestrian program.
Community: Live and work alongside a team of fellow horse-lovers who share your faith and values.
The Best "Office" in the World: Spend your summer in the fresh air of the Poconos rather than behind a desk or a counter.
Competitive Compensation: All positions include a summer salary, housing, and meals.
Qualifications
Experience: A solid background in English or Western riding and a comfort level handling multiple horses in a camp setting.
Heart for Service: A desire to serve others "one girl at a time" and a willingness to perform the unglamorous (but essential) tasks of barn life.
Availability: Positions are open to High School students (16+), College students, and Post-graduates looking for a seasonal ministry impact.
Ready to Saddle Up?
If you want to spend your summer impacting lives through the ministry of horseback riding, we want to meet you.

These are our premier, highest-paid positions, designed for women who are ready to take the next step in their professional ministry or management careers.

The "Mt. Gilead Lifestyle": For year-round staff, we provide on-site housing and utilities. This stability allows for a focused ministry life with the "wiggle room" to pursue outside passions or supplemental income, such as local teaching or freelance work.
A Place for Families: We value the wisdom of experience. Married women and those with families are highly encouraged to apply. We strive to provide an environment where your family can thrive alongside your ministry.

Operational Experts: You can balance the "big picture" of camp operations—from kitchen logistics to emergency protocols—under the guidance of our Executive Director.
Mentors of Mentors: You have the emotional intelligence to shepherd our college-aged staff, helping them navigate the challenges of summer ministry.
Join Our Legacy
Mt. Gilead has been impacting lives for over 60 years. If you are ready to turn your passion for Christian camping into a sustainable, rewarding career, we want to hear from you.

The Heartbeat of the Camp
They say an army marches on its stomach, and at Mt. Gilead, a camp runs on its kitchen! We believe that some of the most profound spiritual growth happens around the dinner table. Our Kitchen Staff are the "unsung heroes" who fuel our campers and counselors for their adventures, ensuring every girl feels nourished, cared for, and at home.
Your Workspace: A Modern Oasis
Forget what you think you know about "camp cooking." You will be working in our amazingly large, state-of-the-art, and fully air-conditioned kitchen! While the rest of the camp is out in the summer heat, you’ll be serving in a professional, cool, and comfortable environment designed for high-efficiency and high-fun.
